Braveheart

With a 23% unemployment rate, education and health care cuts of 10.000 millions of euros and more, with a massive recession, and with a nunch of useless politicians. This is the way I left Spain last year.
Now, things are even worse. The coal sector in the north of the country has risen against police, against the government and marched against the situation that is cutting all the aids for the coal workers. They set up barricades, used and are using slingshots, and fighting the riot police the best way possible, just because, as they say, want to defend their job and more important, their food.

This is not common. Other areas in the country and other sectors are not fighting at all. A huge percentage of people is just unemployed and getting paid from the government, and a huge percentage of youngsters are leaving the country looking for jobs somewhere else in the European Union, or even in the US (Yes, that’s me).
Spain can be a great place to go on holidays, but its future is just doomed, all because the banking specultaive moves these last decade and a bunch of politicians with no balls to save the population.
What this miners are doing can be described in one word: Epic.
